Disney Marathon 2009

This weekend I completed my first Marathon in Walt Disney World. It was great it started at 6am with fireworks lighting up the sky at Epcot. We ran through Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, MGM, and ended again in Epcot. The race course was lined with people cheering, bands playing, and Characters everywhere!!!
Nikki, Me, and Lauren at 3:00am race day!
3:45 meeting up with Dana, and Beth

The finish line!!

Here we are running to the finish line after 26.2 miles!!! We lost one person around mile 16 so here is 4 of us ( from left to right Beth, Nikki, Me and Dana)!! Lauren was not far behind:-(

If you look close we are holding hands across the finish :-) If it were not for Dana pushing me through and holding me accountable for our morning races I am not sure I could have done it.

Just after we crossed the finish line posing for a picture!! After crying our eyes out- I know I am too emotional...

Me and the boys after we got our huge Mickey medals- They are awesome!!

Family picture- Thanks Brett for supporting me through all this hard work training for my 1st Marathon- I could not have done it without you!!

My mom and dad did not want to miss this:-) Love you guys

Lauren and Ben

The group all together with our medals!
I will be posting more pictures later that we took during the race. It was awesome Disney had Characters all over the place so we took picutres with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto, Goofy, power rangers, and some animals ( I had to have mine with the owl).

Way to go Tonya! We are so proud of you! Love your medals...and I just hate how big Brooks looks in the picture with you, him and Mason. I want them all to stay little forever...I do love their shirts though. Libby
